Theater Resources

The Spolin Center
The Spolin Center offers classes, workshops, and articles on improvisational theater. The Spolin Center teaches the work of Viola Spolin, one of the most influential early practicioners of improvisation in the United States.

Theatre Puget Sound
Theatre Puget Sound is a consortium of theatres and individual artists in the Puget Sound region including over 100 member organizations. It offers classes about theater issues, resources to members, on-line message boards, and yearly holds general auditions open to all member organizations and artists.

The Washington State Film Office is a resource for film production. They provide assistance with locations, crew lists, housing, filming contacts statewide, liaison work with business, government and communities, trouble shooting, permits information and weather research.

Seattle Poetry Slam

The Seattle Poetry Slam is a group of Spoken Word artists. They produce regular slam sessions throughout the year, and each year send a team of poets to the national Slam. The site has a calendar of events, audio and video of poetry performances, and links to similar organizations.

Hugo House
Richard Hugo House offers a wide variety of classes and other opportunities for writers of all ages and backgrounds, and promotes the creation of new work. They have open events, and performances by their two resident theater companies.
