Freehold acknowledges that the land on which we gather today is the sovereign and unceded territory of the Duwamish and Coast Salish Peoples. We recognize and express our gratitude for their enduring sacred connection to, and ongoing stewardship of the land and water. We stand in solidarity with Indigenous peoples and recognize that this acknowledgement is not a replacement for action or the restoration of rights. Our community is still learning how we can best engage in direct support, and we encourage you to seek out ways you can honor and support Indigenous communities here in Seattle or wherever you call home.
